I am grateful and honored to have received a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. My grant will fund Life’s in the Balance, a series of drawings documenting various ecosystems in a New York City Park. These new drawings will be a continuation of a body of work I have created for over 50 years to celebrate and explore the interdependence of all life. I do this in the context of sacred geometry. I am thrilled to be able to work with my friends at the NYC Park Narrows Botanical Gardens in my neighborhood of Bay Ridge.
